A pilot has walked away unharmed after his light plane overshot a runway and hit an embankment before coming to a rest on a road.
The plane missed the runway at Lilydale Airport in Yering, 45kms north-east of Melbourne, on Saturday afternoon.
Paramedics treated the male pilot at the scene, but he didn’t require transport to hospital, 7 News reported.
A witness to the accident can be heard saying ‘the plane missed the runway’.
