Playboy Playmate Valerie Mason arrested on drug possession charges after a traffic stop in Louisiana

Former Playboy Playmate Valerie Mason was arrested on drug possession charges on late Friday night. 

Mason was picked up by law enforcement officials in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana and transferred to the local jail where she was booked on ‘possession of a controlled dangerous substance (a schedule II drug),’ which, according to TMZ, was meth.

However, it doesn’t seem that she actually had any drugs on her person, and she was released the next day on a $3,000 bond.

Mason was riding shotgun in a car that was pulled over by police for a broken tail light.

The man who was driving the vehicle could not provide any identification, leading officers to search the driver.

Officers found, ‘drug paraphernalia in his pocket that is usually associated with meth’ in the driver’s pocket.

Authorities also found a hypodermic needle in the back seat of the vehicle, and they said that all three people, including Valerie, denied owning the drugs. 

Mason was the Playboy Playmate of the Month in September 2008, who had no previous modeling experience.

She submitted photos of herself and was recruited to the publication by Holly Madison.

Her centerfold debut was documented through the E! reality series The Girls Next Door, with Mason ultimately moving into the Playboy Mansion with the rest of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends.

Mason appeared in five episodes of The Girls Next Door between 2008 and 2009.

TMZ reached out to Mason for comment on the arrest, but she has yet to respond to request for comment.

The 31 year old was born in Monroe, Louisiana, which is located in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana where she was arrested.
