Plus-size dancer shows off his moves on AGT

A plus-size dancer showed off his impeccable moves and won over the judges on Tuesday night’s episode of America’s Got Talent.

Oscar Hernandez, 34, of Glendale, Arizona, took to the stage to the sound of Fergie’s 2016 hit M.I.L.F. $, clad in a glittery hoodie and standing inside a cage that slowly lowered towards the ground.

After the cage arrived to its destination, Oscar stepped out and executed flawless choreography, perfectly synchronized with his accompanying dancers.

The dancer was so at ease during his act he even managed to lip-sync during his challenging technical performance.

He didn’t miss a single beat as he treated the audience to fierce facial expressions and high-energy moves.

Although the crowd and judges appeared already won over by his act, Oscar took it to the next level when he launched into an impeccable side splits, receiving abundant cheers in response.

The performer, who describes himself on Twitter as ‘just a Samoan big guy that can move’, got back up on his feet to finish the last part of his choreography and give it a neat, controlled ending.

However, the audience will decide if the dancer gets to become a semifinalist. The results of their vote will be announced on Wednesday during a live broadcast.

It’s no wonder Oscar knows how to warm a crowd with his dance moves. After his grandmother trained him at a young age, he began teaching in local youth clubs, before dancing professionally for NBA All-Star games and other halftime shows.

From there, he became a dance director and coached several dance teams, according to his America’s Got Talent choreography.

Nowadays, Oscar works as a choreographer various entertainment and sports teams across the US and creates halftime shows.
