A video posted online shows the moment a baby bursts into tears after seeing her mother using a face mask.
Baby Carter’s dad was giving her a bath while her mom was using a new face mask she’d purchased.
The six month old’s mom said: ‘Hi baby!’

Carter initially smiles at hearing her mom’s voice, but then bursts into tears when she catches a glimpse.
‘Oh my god,’ the mom says while laughing.
Carter is so distraught she even drops her toy in the water.
Her smiles quickly turned into sobs when she didn’t recognize her mom using a face mask
She turns the camera back on her face so that viewers catch a glimpse of what terrified the tot.
‘Carter has never seen anyone with any sort of mask on their face so I was curious to see how she would respond,’ the mother posted online.
‘When she heard my voice she smiled and looked at me but then you can see her facial expression turn into pure terror! It was hysterical!’
