Plymouth woman threatens neighbour with knife on Mullet Close

This is the terrifying moment a knife-wielding woman was seen brandishing the large weapon on a street and threatening neighbours, moments after lunging at a resident.

Heroin user Kelly Hill, 39, whose blade came within a centimetre of neighbor Dominic Airzee as he tried to close his door from danger, was recorded terrorising residents on a quiet cul-de-sac in Laira, Plymouth.

Mr Airzee said his two children, who helped him lock the door, were left in fear that the woman, who has also been diagnosed with schizophrenia, would return.

He was also unsure why the woman decided to target him.

In a statement read by his barrister at Plymouth Crown Court he said: ‘She absolutely terrified my little boy, he was left screaming and crying.

‘I have been told to keep my doors and windows locked. I should not have to live like this.’

During the 41 second footage, Hill is seen shouting abuse towards neighbors on Mullet Close.

She pleaded guilty to possession of a knife causing fear of violence on July 2 and also admitted threatening behaviour during the incident.

Judge James Townsend told the court: ‘This is an absolutely terrifying and serious incident.

‘You went up to someone’s front door, you issued threats in the presence of children and when he opened his front door slightly, you pushed a knife through the gap and only just missed him.’

According to a psychiatric report, Hill has mental health problems that were mostly caused by her long-term drug abuse.

A previous hearing was told that Hill is also a heroin user.
