Costa del Crime: Police ask British holidaymakers in Spain to help catch UK’s 11 most wanted fugitives including suspected murderers, sex attackers and drug traffickers
- The National Crime Agency and Crimestoppers are appealing for public’s help
- Campaign has already seen 84 offenders caught across Europe, but 11 remain
- But now they want Britons holidaying abroad to keep an eye out for the fugitives
- The most wanted fugitives include fraudster accused of laundering around £1bn
British holiday makers are being asked to help catch the UK’s 11 most wanted fugitives – including suspected murderers, sex attackers and drug traffickers.
The National Crime Agency today re-released their details in the hope Britons holidaying abroad might be able to spot the fugitives – who all have connections to Spain.
But the agency has warned they may have moved around over the years and will be using false identities.
They include 6ft 6in Kevin ‘Hemp’ Parle, 39, who is wanted over the Liverpool murders of 16-year-old Liam Kelly, who was shot in 2004, and 22-year-old mother-of-three Lucy Hargreaves, who was killed the following year.
Also on the list are Allan Foster, 43, from South Shields, who is suspected of the murder of David Rice in a car park in 2006, and Fatah Benlaredj, 42, from Manchester, who is wanted over the 2007 rape of a seven-year-old girl.
Some 84 alleged criminals have already been caught across Europe during the ‘Operation Captura’ campaign, including Christopher Guest More Jr, 41, who is accused of the brutal killing of a father at a remote Cheshire farmhouse.
He was arrested in Malta last month, some 16 years after Brian Waters, 44, was tortured and beaten to death in front of his two adult children at Burnt House Farm in Tabley, near Knutsford.
Andy Cooke-Welling, of the NCA’s International Crime Bureau, said: ‘We urge holidaymakers and expats in Spain and elsewhere across Europe to keep their eyes and ears open this summer.’
‘There may also be people in the UK with vital information on their whereabouts, and we would urge them to get in touch. Having the public’s attention focused on them makes it so much harder to hide.’
Kevin Parle
Kevin Parle, 39, from Liverpool, is wanted for two murders in 2004 and 2005

Wanted for: Nicknamed ‘Hemp’. Parle is wanted over the Liverpool murders of 16-year-old Liam Kelly, who was shot in 2004, and 22-year-old mother-of-three Lucy Hargreaves, who was killed the following year.
He is around 6ft 6in and has ginger/red hair.
John Barton
John Barton, 63, from Liverpool, is wanted for conspiring to import a commercial amount of heroin

Wanted for: Convicted in his absence in 2003 and jailed for 20 years for conspiring to import a commercial amount of heroin.
Barton, who is about 5ft 6inch, has links to Fuengirola. He speaks with a Midlands accent.
Allan Foster
Allan Foster, 43, from South Shields, is wanted for the murder of David Rice in May 2006

Wanted for: Wanted for the murder of David Rice at Marsden Bay Car Park, South Shields in May 2006. He is also wanted drug trafficking and theft.
Foster is approximately 5ft 7in tall, uses the alias Shaun Michael Wilkinson and has links to the Canary Islands and Majorca.
Shashi Dhar Sahnan
Shashi Dhar Sahnan, 61, is accused of importing heroin into the UK in 2007

Wanted for: Police believe Sahnan was a key figure in a meticulously planned conspiracy to import 30kg of the class A drug from Turkey to Leicester in the summer of 2007.
He was born in India, wears a hearing aid in his right ear, is approximately 5ft 7in tall and stocky.
Fatah Benlaredj
Fatah Benlaredj, 42, from Manchester, is wanted for the rape of a seven-year-old girl in 2007

He uses the nickname Samir.
Derek McGraw Ferguson
Derek McGraw Ferguson, 56, from Glasgow, is wanted in connection with the murder of Thomas Cameron in June 2007

Wanted for: Wanted in connection with the murder of Thomas Cameron in June 2007 at the Auchinairn Tavern, Bishopsbriggs near Glasgow. He is bald, has green/blue eyes and is approximately 5ft 1in tall.
Daniel Dugic
Daniel Dugic, 38, from Serbia, is suspected of conspiracy to import 255k of cocaine into the UK

Wanted for: Dugic is suspected of being involved in a conspiracy to import 255 kilos of cocaine.
A number of other individuals were convicted in June 2011. The conspiracy involved a small UK vessel meeting a commercial container ship in the English Channel from which the drugs were transferred.
Although Dugic was not on board either vessel, he is alleged to have played a major part in organising the importation.
Jonathon Kelly
Jonathon Kelly, 38, from Drumchapel, Glasgow, is wanted on recall to prison for serious assaults including paralysing a victim with a machete

Wanted for: Kelly is considered extremely violent and is wanted on recall to prison for serious assaults including paralysing a victim with a machete.
He is around 5ft 10in, heavily built, has blue/grey eyes, a Scottish accent and occasionally a beard.
He has scars on both sides of his face, his arms and his right hand.
Mark Quinn
Mark Quinn, 55, from Liverpool, is wanted for alleged involvement in distribution of amphetamine with a street value of £11m

He is around 5ft 9in and has a large build.
Dominic McInally
Dominic McInally, 28, from Formby, north Liverpool, is wanted on suspicion of conspiring to supply cocaine

Wanted for: Wanted by Merseyside Police on suspicion of conspiring to supply cocaine. Alleged leader of a drug trafficking gang that expected to bank £1.25m every month. Described as about 5ft 10in and blond.
Sarah Panitzke
Sarah Panitzke, 45, from Fulford, near York, is wanted by HMRC for laundering offences
Age: 45
From: Fulford, near York
Wanted for: Panitzke, 45, from Fulford, near York, was a senior member of a crime group involved in a VAT fraud.
She controlled the company accounts of many companies remotely via different IP addresses.
Panitzke travelled extensively to further the fraud to places including Dubai, Spain and Andorra.
She was responsible for laundering approximately £1billion pounds.
Panitzke absconded in May 2013 prior to the end of the trial and was convicted in her absence.
She was sentenced to eight years on 22 August 2013. Eighteen members of the crime group received sentences totalling 135 years.
She is described as 170cm tall, slim build with mousey straight hair, blue eyes and has a Yorkshire accent.
