Police confirm body found in disused warehouse is 16-year-old Kianna Patton who was missing for 24 hours

  • Kianna Patton was last seen on Wednesday at 3.00pm in Pembroke Dock, Wales
  • Police launched a search for the teenager and her body has since been found
  • Officers found her body in a derelict warehouse not far from her home

Police have found the body of 16-year-old Kianna Patton in Pembroke Dock.

Kianna went missing on Wednesday just after 3.00pm.

Dyfed-Powys Police launched a search for the teenager and her body has since been found close to her home in south Wales.

Police made the discovery in a derelict building on Thursday afternoon.

A formal identification has not yet taken place but Kianna’s next of kin have been informed. 

In a statement posted on their Facebook page, Dyfed-Powys Police wrote: ‘A female body has been discovered at a derelict building in Pembroke Dock today (October 24).

‘The discovery was made during the search for missing 16-year-old Kianna Patton.

‘Formal identification is yet to take place however next of kin have been made aware of this development.

‘The body was discovered at around 4.45pm on Thursday, October 24. Fire and ambulance also attended.

‘HM Coroner has been informed.’

Members of the community were also quick to pay tribute to the teenager on social media.

One user, Rhiannon Hodgson, said: ‘Absolutely heartbreaking to hear of another life gone too soon. Thinking of the family at this horrific time.’

Another, Paul Moule, wrote: ‘Really sad news of a sweet, young little girl my thoughts go out to the girl and her family.’
