A Black Mirror star told police in Los Angeles that she feared she was being stalked by a female neighbour, before officials found a tracking device under her car.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw, 35, was being tracked for two months and was followed to hotels, restaurants and spin classes, according to a search warrant.

The actress, from Oxfordshire, told police that the stalker has been calling her and her boyfriend and then hanging up.

The warrant, obtained by TMZ, allegedly states that the woman stalking the former Doctor Who actress lives on her street and would show up at her house.

The stalker also took pictures of the actress, who has been awarded an MBE at Buckingham Palace for her services to drama.

Mbatha-Raw then reported the stalker to the LAPD after the two-month ordeal and they found a GPS tracker underneath her car, according to TMZ.

The 35-year-old is said to be ‘living in constant fear’ and thinks her pursuer could turn up at her home at any point and become violent.

The LAPD are investigating the case.

The 35-year-old appeared in the San Junipero episode of Black Mirror, famous for being the only show in the series with a happy ending.

The English actress played Kelly Booth in the episode that detailed a love story between two females that engage in ‘nostalgia therapy’ where their real life bodies lay in one world, and their old selves are cast to another.

She grew up in Witney, Oxfordshire after being born in Oxford. She’s the daughter of Patrick Mbatha, a South African doctor, and Anne Raw, an English nurse.
