A man is wanted by British transport police after assaulting a ticket guard in Manchester Piccadilly station for doing their job.

The man can be seen approaching the large set of barriers before a member of staff, dressed in a red shirt approaches him.

The man ignores the staff member, hoisting his daughter over the barriers, leaving her on the other side.

He then turns to the female member of staff and appears to say something before delivering an unprovoked sucker punch to her face.

The unprovoked attack occurred on a busy Friday morning on the 19th of July.

The staff member recoils in pain as other commuters approach to try and help steady her.

Desperate to get away after the assault the man forces his way through the barriers, ignoring another member of staff who approaches.

With no hint of warning the man springs forward bringing a shattering right fist against the female guard’s face

After the vicious assault the man picks up his child and continues as if nothing has happened
