Police hunt for missing 14-year-old Scotland schoolgirl last seen going for a run on Sunday afternoon

A 14-year-old schoolgirl is missing after going for a run yesterday afternoon.

Police are searching for Bobbi McGrory, who was last seen leaving her house at 4.30pm in Coatbridge, near Glasgow.

Her family are extremely concerned for her wellbeing and have described her disappearance as being ‘out of character’.

They added that Bobbi had not said she was staying out overnight and police are now asking the public for help.

Police Scotland said in a statement this morning: ‘Officers from Police Scotland are seeking the assistance of the public in an effort to trace a 14 year old female, missing from Coatbridge.

‘Bobbi McCrory, was last seen at half past four on the afternoon of Sunday 24th November 2019 leaving her home address in the Kirkwood area of Coatbridge.

‘At this time Bobbi intimated that she was going out for a run. There have been no confirmed sightings of Bobbi since this time. It is out of character for Bobbi not to be in contact with family and she did not stipulate that she was planning on staying out overnight. Her family are extremely concerned for her wellbeing.

‘Bobbi is described as white, 5’3′ tall, pale skin with freckles, medium build with long mousy brown hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing black sports leggings, a bright orange hooded jumper and a red waterproof jacket.’

T/Inspector Gail Struthers from Motherwell Police Office added: ‘Bobbi is thought to have left her home address around half past four on the afternoon of Sunday 24th November 2019 in the Kirkwood area of Coatbridge.

‘We have been speaking to her family who say that her being out of touch for this time is not like her, hence the cause for their concern. We all just want to know that Bobbi is safe and well.

‘It is hoped that someone will have observed Bobbi in the area.

‘I would appeal to anyone who knows Bobbi, or who may have seen her since Sunday afternoon, to call officers at Coatbridge via 101, quoting incident number PS-20191124-3957’.
