Police hunt woman who smashed glass into bouncer’s face

Detectives are hunting a girl who nearly blinded a bouncer she hurled a wine glass at in a row outside a nightclub.

The clubber threw the empty glass at the security guard after a fight between two men at Gabeto nightclub in North London.

As the bouncer broke up the scrap, the suspect hurled the glass, leaving the victim with glass embedded just below his right eye.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was treated at a north London hospital to have the glass removed after the attack on October 14 at 2.10am.

CCTV footage shows a woman throwing a drink over another man in the club just before attacking the guard.

Police are looking to speak to this woman in connection with the incident which happened in North London

She is described as having long, dark hair and was wearing a light-coloured T-shirt dress with trainers and a dark rucksack.

Detective Constable Chris Shepherd, from the Central North Command Unit, said: ‘This was an unprovoked assault on a man who was only trying to do his job.

‘We would like to hear from anyone who was in the club that night who may have seen something and has not previously contacted police, or anyone who may be able to identify this suspect.’
