One man suffered stab wounds to the neck and abdomen and was rushed to St George Hospital in stable condition.

Another believed to be in his 40s suffered head injuries and was taken to the same hospital under police arrest. He is being kept under police guard.

Police are investigating whether the girl was sexually or indecently assaulted prior to the physical stoush between the men, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Daily Mail Australia contacted police, who would not confirm the child’s connection to the matter.

A third man with injuries to his eyebrow and cheekbone was also spotted at the scene, but it is unknown if he was involved in the brawl.

Bystander Mo Hariri was celebrating his 24th birthday with his friends nearby when the group overhead the commotion across the road.

‘We thought someone was having a heart attack or something but then this bloke runs out screaming: call the police,’ Mr Hariri said.

‘He looked so scared like he was having a panic attack.’

Moments later, the group of revellers saw the victim walk down the stairs with multiple stab wounds.

Both men were taken to St George Hospital following the stabbing

Mr Hariri’s friend applied pressure on the wounds of the victim until emergency services arrived on scene.

‘The guy had really bad bleeding, but nothing dramatic.’

Hariri Chickens employee Prakash Sapokota, 19, said a man screamed, ‘Where’s my daughter?’

A dance teacher said teenage girls turned up to the studio on Thursday nights for contemporary dance classes.

St George Police Area Command officers have established a crime scene and enquiries are continuing.
