Police launch murder probe as man in his 20s is stabbed to death in the street

A man has died after a stabbing incident in west London, police have said.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called just after 1am after reports of an injured man outside West Ealing rail station on Drayton Green Road.

A man in his 20s was treated for a stab wound but was pronounced dead at the scene, the Met said in a statement.

The man was found in a vehicle suffering from a stab wound but detectives do not believe the victim was killed in a ‘road rage’ attack.

Detectives believe the victim was injured before his vehicle was involved in a collision with another car.  

No arrests have yet been made and officers and London Ambulance Service attended. 

Enquiries are underway to trace and notify next of kin and formal identification awaits. 

A post mortem will be scheduled in due course.

It comes after a quadruple stabbing in Whitechapel yesterday where one man in his 20s died.
