Police are continuing to hunt for a registered sex offender with a fake name who is using public transport to stay on the run in Melbourne.

Adam Storch, 38, failed to tell police where he was currently living and they are now searching for him.

Police said Storch is ‘highly mobile’ despite not having a car, and they believe it is ‘most likely’ that he is using ‘all forms of public transport to get around’.

Police also believe he is using a fake name.

A photo of Storch was released by police last week and they have released another photo as they believe he has put on a lot of weight since the first image was taken.

He has a tattoo of the name ‘Vanessa’ on his neck and is known to use aliases such as ‘Dom Gatto’.

Police believe he likes to frequent the suburbs of Preston, Reservoir, Heidelberg, St Kilda, Prahran South Melbourne and the CBD.

Storch was seen by a member of the public at a shop in Kilsyth on August 18 and again on August 21, and he was also seen at a business on Swanston Street between 12.10pm and 12.45pm on July 12.

Police said he was with another man at the time he was sighted, and have asked that man to come forward as well.
