Florida police seek ‘hovering’ thief seen gliding out of a Walmart store without paying while wearing futuristic shoes

  • The Winter Haven Police Department shared in a Wednesday Facebook post that the thief rolled into the store at 355 Cypress Gardens Blvd
  • Video shows the man ride into the Walmart before he is later seen with a cart 
  • Inside the cart, the thief has a big screen TV and several electronics
  • He does appear to also have paint in his cart, along with a bouquet of flowers
  • The man eventually leaves the store, with the police department noting that he did not even ‘attempt to utilize any register’ 

Florida police are seeking assistance in identifying a brazen Walmart thief who sped through the store on a pair of hover shoes while nabbing several items. 

The Winter Haven Police Department shared in a Wednesday Facebook post that the thief rolled into the store at 355 Cypress Gardens Blvd and glided right out of the store with the items without paying.  

‘Back to the Future’s McFly he’s not,’ the department said in their post. ‘But his Hover Shoes, Voyagers, Moto Kicks, Space Shoes or whatever you want to call them makes him our first futuristic thief!’

‘Wonder who the lucky girl is,’ the police department said.

The man eventually leaves the store, with the police department noting that he did not even ‘attempt to utilize any register.’  

‘We poke fun, but stealing IS a crime and we want to get this guy and his shoes in custody,’ the department added. ‘Somebody will recognize him.’ 

The man appears to be in his late 20s or 30s and was last seen wearing a army green beanie with a black and white shirt and dark colored pants.
