An upcoming pantomime will be among the most politically correct in Britain as it gets set to feature a climate change-denying giant and a Greta Thunberg character.
The reworking of the traditional Jack and the Beanstalk story will run at the Lighthouse Theatre in Poole, Dorset.
It has been created by former Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan, 65, who has branded it as ‘the planet-saving panto’.

The story revolves around the character of 16-year-old Greta Thunberg who is shut away by a giant when she tries to discuss why she was taking part in the school strikes over climate change.
The giant himself is supposed to be representative of a gas-guzzling corporation and turns out to be made of plastic.

Other features of the stage play will include a carbon-neutral cottage for the Dame and a beanstalk made of recycled materials.
Peter, who is a passionate environmentalist, has denied that the show will push a ‘greener’ agenda toward young people.
Instead he says that it will use the themes as a spring board to poke fun at current topics.
‘We are making it a bit of a rabble-rouser but we are not preaching.
‘We are making it for the kids who have been inspired by Greta Thunberg,’ according to The Sunday Express.
But it comes after last week Christopher Biggins spoke out about his fears that political correctness was ruining the joys of pantomime.
Jack and the Beanstalk will run from December 12 to January 5 and will also feature Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah and Tracy Beaker star Connor Byrne.
