Massive power outage strikes Sydney’s northern beaches with more than 31,000 people left without electricity

  • Power has been restored after a power outage in Sydney’s Northern Beaches 
  • Suburbs impacted  include North Narrabeen, Elanora Heights and Terrey Hills
  • Ausgrid have been working to reinstate power for the past four hours 

Power has now been restored to 31,000 people after a power outage in Sydney’s Northern Beaches on Tuesday.  

Ausgrid have been working to identify the cause of the outage to reinstate power for the past four hours.

They asked people to monitor their website for updates and estimated power would be restored by 8pm. 

Suburbs from North Narrabeen up to Palm Beach have all been impacted, including Terrey Hills and Duffys Forrest

Power to 14,000 people was restored by 6.30pm while the remaining 17,000 residents had wait an additional hour.
