Powerball’s $100million prize is the second-biggest division one jackpot ever offered by an Australian lottery game.
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said people could be informed instantly of their win if they had registered their entries to a player card.
‘In January, we called a Sydney mum straight after the draw to tell her she’d won $107 million and she answered the phone immediately, so she was able to begin living her life as a multi-millionaire that very night!,’ Ms Ramsamy said.
No one has taken home the division one prize over the last seven weeks.
Yet there have been 38 Powerball division two winners – two of which were just one number off winning the division one prize.
Lauren Cooney, The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney, said these two division two entries had only missing the all important Powerball number.
Around a third of Australian adults are expected to have entered the draw.
If no one wins the division one prize, it will jackpot once again.
