Waiting for his friends at the store at around midnight, Josh saw the perfect opportunity to pull a prank.

Just as she goes through the doors, the prankster beeps the scooter’s horn, which sounds exactly like the security scanner alarm.

The law-abiding woman stops, before pushing her trolley through the scanners two more times as Josh, struggling to hide his laughter, sounds the alarm again.

Confused, the woman finally asks a staff member for help as Josh and his friend fall about chuckling.

‘I saw her coming and was sitting on this scooter left outside the shop waiting on my pal. I couldn’t resist having a rip at it,’ Josh told the Daily Record.

‘She didn’t get angry though! Her and the Asda worker knew we were just some silly kids having a wee laugh on a Saturday night.’

The prank has since recieved 1.1 million views and given Josh some new-found fame.

‘People from America have been in touch telling me it’s a trend over there with kids doing it at Walmart shops,’ he added.
