Pregnant AFL WAG Tayla Damir says she has felt  ‘isolated’ and ‘anxious’ during her first trimester

AFL WAG Tayla Damir has opened up about her pregnancy experience, sharing the things she has learned during her first trimester.

The former Love Island star, who recently announced she is expecting her first child with Richmond Tigers player Nathan Broad, compiled a lengthy list of ‘things no one warns you about during pregnancy’ and shared it to her Instagram Story on Thursday.

First on her list was ‘the stress you feel as a pregnant woman’.

‘The stress of not knowing if your child is ok all the time,’ she wrote. ‘The long waits between ultrasounds to check if they are still alive.’

‘The dread you feel if your body feels different or you have a pain here and there,’ Tayla added.

‘It’s a constant state of happiness and worry mixed into one.’

Tayla also admitted she felt ‘isolated’ during her first trimester.

‘Why are we told we shouldn’t tell people till 12 weeks when the people we would tell are the ones we would need if God forbid anything happened,’ the former reality star wrote.

‘They are the people you vent to, cry to, laugh with and you will need them.’

The WAG also opened up about how anxious she’d been feeling, admitting she worries her pregnancy is less deserved than other mothers-to-be.

‘Imposter syndrome is real. I feel as though this bump isn’t mine or I can’t have a bump because I can’t be “that far along,”‘ she said.

‘I get anxious that someone will see me in the baby section of a shop and think “why is she in here.”

The couple had a lavish wedding in mid-October, and since Tayla already knows the sex of her child, she is already several weeks pregnant.

That means she likely fell pregnant on or shortly after her wedding day.

The couple tied the knot in the Gold Coast hinterland surrounded by family, friends and fellow influencers, all of whom were banned from using their phones as Tayla walked down the aisle.

She previously told The Herald Sun she and Richmond player Nathan were planning to follow the ‘unplugged’ wedding trend by asking guests not to use recording devices.

‘When I walk down the aisle, I want to see everyone’s face rather than the back of phones so in that case it probably will be a no-phone wedding,’ she explained.

The bride was the epitome of elegance in a white floral gown by Oglia-Loro Couture, while the groom looked sharp in a classic tuxedo from MJ Bale.

The model’s lace dress trailed across the ground behind her, and she styled her brunette hair in a neat bun which she covered with a long veil.

Tayla posted their beautiful wedding photos on Instagram on Tuesday, alongside the caption: ‘Mr and Mrs Broad -17.10.22.’

Other images showed the couple, who began dating in late 2019, posing atop a hill against the idyllic backdrop of the surrounding countryside.

Tayla also shared a blurry video of the couple with their arms wrapped around one another as they watched a fireworks display.

Tayla recently revealed she would like to get married before having children with Nathan, citing her ‘traditional’ upbringing.

However she made it clear she was ready to start a family as soon as possible.

‘I’m traditional in the sense than I would ideally like to be married first, but after that, let the baby-making begin,’ she said in an Instagram Q&A.

The model announced her engagement to the three-time premiership player in June 2022, posting a video to Instagram of the moment her boyfriend proposed.

Footage from their home CCTV system showed Nathan surprising Tayla by getting down on one knee on their front porch.
