In lengthy post caption she explained how ‘I struggled accepting all the changes to my body’ when she found out she was pregnant.
She penned: ‘I’d often heard that pregnancy can change how you feel about yourself and your body but my goodness it’s been true for me!
‘The first three or four months of pregnancy I really struggled accepting all the changes to my body because it was totally out of my control.

‘I’ll be honest and admit I’ve been through quite a few ups and down privately, BUT I now find myself in a totally different head space and I finally feel good about my body.’
The West Ender star went on to explain how she enjoyed exercising to keep in shape however she ‘always’ felt she was ‘never “good enough”‘.
She continued: ‘I’ve always had a passion for working out mainly because it made me feel good mentally. I’m not going to lie though, of course there was the physical impact too!

‘However when I now look back to life before I was pregnant I remember never being happy and always thinking I was never “good enough” shall we say. Do you have those thoughts too?
‘There was never a time when I didn’t want a smaller waist, or more defined abs or whatever it was that week! I was never completely happy with what I saw in the mirror.’
Since being pregnant Alexandra admitted that she now feels ‘comfortable in my own skin’ and has decided to ‘never be unkind to myself’ again.
She added: ‘We put our bodies through way too much scrutiny. I’m learning to show my body more gratitude, more appreciation and way more love these past months!
