In January, Cat was delighted to reveal to her legion of loyal fans that she is pregnant with her second child.

The TV host, who had first child Milo in January 2016 with presenter husband Patrick Kielty, shared that her baby is expected to arrive in the spring, after saying she was considered a ‘geriatric mum’ by doctors.

She told her fans on Twitter: ‘Over-the-moon to share that Milo is going to be a big brother! Can’t wait to be a family of four in the spring. We’re all so excited.’

Cat previously said in an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper: ‘I would love some more. But I have got to get on with it if I do.

‘When you go for your check-ups they call you a “geriatric mum”. That is the terminology they use, I swear.’

Despite their jubilant news, Cat revealed to US TV host Steve Harvey that she has yet to tell young son Milo about the impending newborn because she’s worried what his reaction might be – so she’s starting him off easy with a new puppy instead.

She said: ‘I’m starting with the dog. I’ve got a lovely dog called Lily, who’s really gentle. But sometimes he grabs her skin – not on purpose – but he is just trying to love her.’
