Joanna Page has joked she’s ‘not going to have any retirement’ following the ‘surprise’ news she’s expecting her fourth child.

The Gavin and Stacey star, 44, admitted she was ‘still in shock’ in her first TV appearance since announcing her pregnancy on Tuesday’s The One Show.

Joanna, who already has three children Eva, seven, Kit, five, and Noah, four, with husband James Thornton, added that there must be ‘something in the water’ at BBC Radio Wales, noting her colleague Alex Jones was also expecting.

Sadly the star confessed she knows as much as the show’s fans saying: ‘I don’t know, I mean I genuiniely didn’t know we were going to do a special until they phoned, so I have absolutely no idea and I never ever ask them.

‘So I suppose I’ll just one day get a phone call or we’ll never do it again.’

The doting mother admitted in December that having their three kids at home all the time killed any hope of intimacy.

She even revealed that she and her actor husband, 45, went ‘a month of literally not saying a single word to each other’ as they struggled through lockdown.

Joanna told The Sun: ‘We spent the whole of the first lockdown arguing and threatening to divorce each other.

‘Then we went through a month of literally not saying a single word to each other.’

The Welsh actress went on to explain that they came out of the first lockdown feeling ‘numb’ and desperate to get ‘anything we could’ after arguing ‘so much’.

Speaking about their sex life, she continued: ”’Let’s get some sex in before we have to pick the kids up from school” – that’s how desperate we’d got.’

She went on to say that their saving grace was finally sending their kids back to school, admitting it gave her the chance to fancy her husband of 17 years again.

Joanna tied the knot with her longtime partner James, who starred as John Barton in Emmerdale, back in 2003 and they have since welcomed three children together.
