A heavily pregnant mother has been slammed after being caught with drugs by police in Queensland.

Kellie Marie Judd was driving a car when police found about one gram of methamphetamine hidden in a green phone case.

The Rockhampton woman, who is seven months pregnant, told police she ‘would think about it’ when they told her to think about her unborn child and to stop using drugs, The Morning Bulletin reported.

Ms Judd, 23, who also has a three-year-old child, faced Rockhampton Magistrate’s Court earlier this week as authorities advised her to stop using drugs.

Magistrate Jeff Clarke said the young mother was showing ‘completely selfish behaviour’.

‘You are the mother of one child and quite incredibly using drugs at the time while you are heavily pregnant with another child,’ he told the court according to the publication.

The 23-year-old has been ordered to participate in a drug diversion program as she was sentenced to a six month good behaviour bond.
