Pregnant physiotherapist, 33, stabbed in the chest and stomach by a boy, 14, during a home invasion

A 33-year-old heavily-pregnant woman stabbed in a horrifying home invasion managed to stumble to her neighbour’s front door before collapsing in a pool of her own blood.

Pei-Jiun Cheah, a physiotherapist and pilates instructor, moved into the home in Mt Colah, northern Sydney, just six months ago – and was home alone when she was stabbed.

Ms Cheah, who is seven months’ pregnant, was stabbed repeatedly in the chest, stomach and arm at about 9pm on Thursday night after interrupting an alleged home invasion.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested following the attack which has sent shockwaves through the community.

Neighbour Sep Mokhberi told Daily Mail Australia the street was on edge the morning following the attack.

‘It scares you so close to home – it is very out of the ordinary – this is a nice neighbourhood,’ he said.

Ms Cheah’s neighbours came to her aid after they heard her screaming – with the elderly couple next door finding her ‘slumped on the doorstep’.

Joanna Diment said she and her husband Adam held the woman as she bled profusely.

‘She was just slumped in the doorway, I think she was holding her side, they put blankets around her,’ Mrs Diment told The Daily Telegraph.

A second neighbour, Mark, said he phoned Triple 0 and stayed with the woman until paramedics arrived.

‘She was very stressed, very, very, very stressed, which she would be you know, home by herself,’ he told Seven News.

The woman was rushed to the Royal North Shore Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

The condition of her unborn baby is unknown.
