Heavily pregnant woman who fell from moving car after a man ‘threatened to assault her’ gives birth to a baby via C-section but dies from her injuries

A woman who gave birth after being thrown from a car has died from her injuries.
Police believe the incident occurred after a man known to the 32-year-old woman threatened to assault her at a home in Kiwi Retreat, a suburb of Melbourne.
The woman, from Keilor Downs in the city’s northwest, was then tossed from the vehicle as it rounded a corner just after 1pm on Saturday.
Ambulance Victoria told Daily Mail Australia she sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital.

The expectant mother gave birth via emergency C-section, but died from her injuries.
The infant was transferred to Royal Women’s Hospital and is now in a critical condition.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and is assisting police with inquiries.
Homicide Squad detectives are also investigating.
