Preston 2-3 Burnley: Sean Dyche’s side come through tough test after going behind as Aaron Lennon finds himself back on scoresheet ahead of historic Europa League clash with Aberdeen

Burnley came through a tough test by Championship side Preston North End on Monday night.

Burnley will play in Europe next season for the first time in 51 years and Sean Dyche has reiterated just how important pre-season is if his side is to have a successful campaign.

Burnley were made to work hard over the 90 minutes and youngster Dwight McNeil scored the winner six minutes before time. 

The Europa League clash with Aberdeen is on Thursday and Dyche took no risks with the majority of the senior side sitting out.
