Prince Andrew wooed women letting them sit on Queen’s throne

A second woman has claimed Prince Andrew allowed her to sit on the Queen’s throne at Buckingham Palace, it emerged today.

The Duke of York is said to have allowed the unnamed woman to sit on the throne after inviting her to dinner in his private one-bedroom apartment quarters.

She was also allegedly taken to the balcony and invited to wave to imaginary crowds – one of Andrew’s ‘signature moves’ with women, according to the Daily Beast.

It follows claims in The Sun on Sunday that Andrew dated the model Caprice and also let her sit on the throne at Buckingham Palace during one of their dates.

The claims from the second woman were first reported last year, but have re-emerged more prominently this week following the allegations regarding Caprice.

Prince Andrew is said to have met Caprice (pictured, at The O2 in London on January 28) at a dinner party and the pair dated for two months in 2000

The 60-year-old Duke is said to have met the 48-year-old Dancing on Ice star at a dinner party and the pair dated for two months in 2000.

On one of the dates he took her to Buckingham Palace and let her take a decorative bowl, according to the newspaper.

The pair only went on a few dates before she is said to have introduced him to her friend, US masseuse Denise Martell, whom he was involved with for ten years.

The date at Buckingham Palace is alleged to have happened just months before he is reported to have slept with Virginia Roberts, now known as Virginia Giuffre – when she was just 17.

A source close to Caprice told The Sun: ‘As an American, she was thoroughly entertained at the notion he was a part of the Royal Family. He took her to Buckingham Palace twice, and on one occasion she sat on the Queen’s throne.

‘She spotted a bowl she liked and asked Andrew if she could steal it and post it to her mum. She claims that he let her, and her mum loved it.’

The pair were friends for two months and were said to have gone on ‘platonic’ dates, including two at the Palace.

Caprice, who is originally from California but lives in London, ended their friendship when she started being linked to the prince in the press.

She set him up with Ms Martell and the pair went on to have a ten-year relationship.

Andrew is also believed to have told Caprice that his then 16-year-old nephew Prince Harry was jealous of their friendship.

Harry, now 35, had a soft spot for Caprice and was said to have had her calendar on his bedroom wall at Eton.

Caprice, who dated Rod Stewart, allegedly stopped taking the royal’s calls after she decided to end things with him.

She did not have a romantic interest in him and was only interested in finding out more about the royal family, her friend claims.

Andrew was forced to step down from royal life last year after his disastrous Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew and Epstein, who killed himself awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges aged 66 last year, became friends through Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and ‘madame’ Ghislaine Maxwell.

Virginia Roberts, now Virginia Giuffre and living in Australia, claims she had sex with Andrew three times, including once when she was 17.

She says he was groomed by Maxwell and became paedophile Epstein’s sex slave.

Andrew, a father-of-two, denies having any relationship with her whatsoever and claims a photograph of them together in London has been doctored.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline today.
