Prince Charles wants to hold crisis talks with Prince Andrew amid Jeffrey Epstein scandal

Prince Charles wants to hold ‘tell all’ crisis talks with Prince Andrew amid the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal, it was claimed today.

The Prince of Wales, 71, wants an honest conversation with his younger brother, 59, about his links to the convicted US paedophile and the difficulties it has caused for the royal family.

Charles is currently at Sandringham and was yesterday pictured driving with Sir Nicholas Soames, the grandson of Winston Churchill.

Andrew once entertained Epstein, who killed himself aged 66 in his New York prison cell, at the same royal estate.

It is believed he wants to summon Andrew to Norfolk so they can decide how to move forward, reports the Sunday Mirror.

A source told the newspaper: ‘Charles wants to meet Andrew to discuss ho best to deal with the ‘Epstein issue’.

‘He has told his brother to be completely up front, open and honest with him – and if there is anything else he thinks could come out.

‘He knows how damaging this issue is for the family knows it has the potential to get much worse and is taking it very, very seriously.’

It comes as the royals prepare for the woman who claims she had sex with Andrew three times to give her side to BBC Panorama tomorrow night.

Virginia Roberts, who is now 36 and goes by her married name Guiffre, claims she and Andrew had sex three times after she was introduced to him by Epstein’s former girlfriend and their mutual friend Ghislaine Maxwell.

In his ‘car crash’ Newsnight interview Andrew denied ever meeting Ms Guiffre.

Charles was still on his tour of the Soloman Islands when the disastrous interview with Emily Maitlis aired.

The brothers were last seen in public together at a Remembrance event at the Royal Albert Hall in early November.

Andrew is expected to stay out of the spotlight until Christmas Day when he will be at Sandringham with the Queen.

The Mirror reports that their father, Prince Philip, 97, is furious about the controversy Andrew’s links to Epstein has brought to the family.

Today The Mail on Sunday revealed Andrew used his taxpayer-funded role as trade envoy to work with his controversial multi-millionaire financier friend David Rowland.

Emails show that while on official trade missions meant to promote UK business, Andrew was quietly plugging a private Luxembourg-based bank for the super-rich, owned by Rowland and his family.

The Prince allowed the Rowlands to shoehorn meetings into his official trade tours so they could expand their bank and woo powerful and wealthy clients.

The revelations are likely to cause further upset as the royals brace themselves for Ms Roberts to give her side to the BBC tomorrow night.

Prince Andrew denies all allegations against him.

A Clarence House spokesman refused to comment when approached by MailOnline.
