Prince Harry pens touching personal letter to an Dylan Alcott before finishing with cheeky question 

Prince Harry has penned a touching personal letter to an Australian athlete before finishing with a cheeky question about his underwear.

Australian Paralympic champion Dylan Alcott shared a photo of the letter on Twitter in which the sixth in line to the throne congratulated him on his win at Wimbledon – as well as his recent gong at the TV Week Logie Awards. 

‘Pen pals with the Duke of Sussex himself – Prince Harry.. What an absolute legend,’ Alcott captioned the photo.

The letter reads:

‘Dear Dylan, I wanted to pass on my congratulations for your recent win at Wimbledon and your most popular new talent award!

‘Thank you for the special contribution that you made to sharing the stories of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women on the Invictus Games Today show.

‘Your achievements are extraordinary, and the impact you have had in raising awareness and changing perceptions of disability is really inspiring.

‘I wish you the very best of luck for the future, on-air and on-court!

Dylan Alcott received a perosonalised letter from Prince Harry, who asked if he wore his Invictus Games budgie smugglers

Alcott won the Wimbledon title in mid-July for his ninth wheelchair Grand Slam title, including his third straight this year as he nears a calendar Grand Slam.  

Twitter users replied to Alcott’s tweet, commenting about the Prince’s PS remark.

‘Imagine his Press Secretary typing the words “budgie smugglers”,’ one wrote. 

‘Gold!’

‘Pretty special letter mate and bloody well deserved. Well done,’ another said.
