The Duke of Edinburgh has decided to take a more sedate mode of transport after his horror car crash earlier this year.

The 97-year-old has been spotted carriage driving in the grounds of Windsor Castle shortly before the Grand National today.

Prince Philip, wearing a flat cap, a khaki hunting jacket and gloves, braced the cold with two female riders.

It is the first time since Red Rum in 1974 that a horse has won the famous race back-to-back.
