Even royalty have to put their duties aside when it is time to watch their heroes in the World Cup.
Princess Astrid of Belgium didn’t let the fact she was on a diplomatic tour of South America put her off catching up with the action from Kaliningrad, where Roberto Martinez’s men were up against the Three Lions of England.
And she was delighted to see them win 1-0 thanks to a stunning strike by former Manchester United player Adnan Januzaj, who was at one point tipped to play for England.

She also donned sunglasses with the red, yellow and black colours of Belgium’s national flag

And she got in the party mood by donning sunglasses in the Belgian colours, downing a beer and draping herself in her national flag.
But it wasn’t all play for the travelling royal.
She also found time to meet Uruguay’s transport and public works minister Victor Rossi as he signed a railway co-operation agreement.
And she unveiled a plaque at a new pavilion in a logistics park to be used by Belgian and Uruguyan firms.
The younger sister of King Philippe of Belgium, Astrid has also visited football-loving Argentina on her trade tour, where she was declared an ‘Illustrious Visitor’ in Buenos Aires and was given a painting by Vice President Gabriela Michetti.
