Princess Beatrice is keen to ‘start her own family soon’

Princess Beatrice is keen to start a family soon after she weds her fiance Edo Mapelli Mozzi, new reports claim.

The royal, 31, who announced her engagement to multi-millionaire property tycoon Edo, 34, in September, is also said to be getting on ‘very well’ with 2-year-old Christopher ‘Woolfie’ Woolf – her fiance’s stepson with his American ex Dara Huang.

Royal commentator Phil Dampier has claimed Beatrice will have a ‘low key’ wedding next summer – following her father Prince Andrew’s recent controversy – and predicts that the guest list will even include Dara.

According to Phil, the couple aren’t likely to go abroad for the wedding after getting engaged in Italy, as Beatrice’s grandmother, the Queen, isn’t able to travel.

Phil told Fabulous Digital: ‘I’ve heard Princess Beatrice is getting on very well with Christopher and would like to have a family of her own soon.’

He added: ‘She seems to get on well with Edo’s ex so it’s likely she will be at the wedding so it’s going to be quite an interesting dynamic. I think the break-up [between Edo and ex Dara] was quite messy initially but they are all quite adult about it.’

Describing Beatrice’s wedding as less lavish than Eugenie’s, he added: ‘In the wake of her dad’s problems I’d be absolutely shocked if it was televised live and I’m pretty certain it’ll be a low key affair, possibly private and she’ll release one or two photos afterwards.’

Multi-millionaire property tycoon Edo, 34, proposed to Beatrice, 31, in September,  and their engagement means that Beatrice will be the first among the young generation of royals to take on a stepchild.

Edoardo was previously engaged for three-and-a-half years to the mother of his child, Chinese-American Dara Huang, a highly-successful architect with her own design company whom he split from last year.

Edoardo was engaged for three-and-a-half years to Dara, and is thought to have started dating Beatrice, 31, while they were still living together, after their relationship ended.

A close family friend of Edo’s stated that the couple had split six months before.

In September Princess Beatrice announced her engagement to property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, via a Buckingham Palace statement.

The royal started dating the Italian property developer last year.

Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi said of their 11-month whirlwind romance in a statement: ‘We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.

‘We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married.

‘We share so many similar interests and values, and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.’

Engagement photos, taken by sister Princess Eugenie in the grounds of Windsor Great Park, showed Beatrice wearing a green floral £595 Zimmerman dress and showing off her 3.5 carat engagement ring by Shaun Leane, estimated to have cost £100,000, along with a £2,730 Cartier love bracelet.

Princess Beatrice’s engagement is a rare piece of good news for her father Prince Andrew following the death of paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, which has prompted claims that the royal slept with one of the billionaire’s teenage sex slaves to resurface. Prince Andrew strongly denies the claims.
