Princess Beatrice makes her first royal appearance with boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi arrive at the wedding of Lady Garbriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle

Princess Beatrice wore a £370 high street dress as she made her first royal appearance with her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston this morning.

Beatrice, 30, and father-of-one Edoardo, 34, kept their romance out of the spotlight when they started dating last year but have been seen more often of late.

Beatrice wore a white fascinator with a high street dress from Self-Portrait worth £370 as she stepped out with Edoardo in his morning suit at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

They were joined by Beatrice’s mother Sarah Ferguson, her father Prince Andrew and her sister Princess Eugenie who was married to Jack Brooksbank at the same venue last year.

Edoardo – who is known as Edo – is the stepson of Christopher Shale a friend of David Cameron, who died at Glastonbury music festival in 2011.

The couple went public when they attended the annual gala for the Berggruen Prize for Philosophy and Culture in New York in December last year.

It’s thought the two were friends for years before their friendship evolved into a romance.

Edoardo founded a real estate firm in 2007, and serves as its CEO to this day. The company specializes in finding and developing homes for wealthy clients.

Beatrice, who lives in New York and works full time as a consultant that introduces start-ups to potential financial backers, was spotted with her boyfriend several times in Manhattan throughout the Spring.

The official appearance at the royal wedding confirms suspicions that the relationship has become more serious.

Beatrice is among a number of royal family members lead by the Queen at Lady Gabriella’s wedding in St George’s Chapel.

Lady Gabriella is the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, a minor royal who is the Queen’s cousin.

Her mother Princess Michael, has made headlines over the years for her outspoken comments, being dubbed ‘Princess Pushy’ by the press.

Her parents married in 1978 and she has one older sibling, her brother Lord Frederick, known as Freddie, who hit the headlines after admitting to using drugs at university.

Lord Frederick married Peep Show actress Sophie Winkleman in 2009 and the pair have two children together.

Lady Gabriella, who is known as Ella, studied at both Brown University in the US and the University of Oxford, with degrees in Comparative Literature and Social Anthropology.

The 38-year-old works as an arts and travel director for brand company Branding Latin America, based in Knightsbridge, London.

The ceremony will begin at noon, conducted by the Dean of Windsor, the Right Reverend David Conner.

It is the third royal wedding in the 15th-century venue in less than a year following the star-studded nuptials of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex last May and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in October.

The Duke of Cambridge, president of the Football Association, is not expected to attend the wedding due to the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Watford in the evening.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also unlikely to attend following the recent birth of their son Archie.

Lady Gabriella had been dating Mr Kingston for a number of years when he proposed last summer.

Mr Kingston is a director of Devonport Capital, which specialises in providing finance for companies in ‘frontier economies’ and is a close friend of Pippa Middleton.
