Princess Beatrice steps out in chilly central London wrapped up in stylish houndstooth coat

Princess Beatrice faced the cold in chilly central London today, as she stepped out wrapped in a stylish houndstooth winter coat.

King Charles III’s niece, 34, looked animated as she chatted with a male friend during an outing in the capital.

Beatrice looked put together after what was a late night out on the town with her mother, Sarah Ferguson, yesterday.

Beatrice meant business this afternoon as she sported a black leather Celine handbag and what looked to be a laptop bag as she walked around the city.

The royal was smart as she strutted through town in a pair of knee-high black suede boots – a style she has long been a fan of.

She swept her mousy hair out of her face with a chic burgundy headband, and accessoried her cosy full-length coat with a chunky black leather belt.

Her thick overcoat, which featured black cuffs, fit her neatly and appeared to be made from wool.

She also donned a white top, which contrasted beautifully with her light grey and black houndstooth overcoat and peeked out over its collar.

Her makeup was pared back with a natural base and slight shimmer on her eyelids.

The Princess wore minimalistic jewellery, with gold wedding bands on one hand and no other rings or earrings.

Fine gold bracelets were stacked on one of her wrists with a gold bangle on the other.

The late Queen’s granddaughter clasped her hands together as she made her way through the busy London streets, with passersby apparently not giving her a second glance.

Beatrice was accompanied by a friend, who himself donned a warm coat as temperatures in London remained below ten degrees Celsius.

Her companion looked smart in the navy jacket, under which he wore a light blue shirt paired with grey trousers.

There was no sign of the Princess’ husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, with whom she shares one-year-old daughter Sienna Elizabeth.

Last night, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and  The Duchess of York, 63, was seen linking arms with her mother as they left exclusive private members club Lou Lou’s at around 1am.

The royals cut a stylish pair; with Beatrice again opting for burgundy in her outfit and black leather boots.

She also clutched a favoured Gucci bag, which she has been spotted wearing on previous nights out in the capital.

Meanwhile, her mother opted for a striking white jacket with gold buttons and a knee-length LBD, tying her flame-red locks into a loose ponytail.

Beatrice, who is ninth in line to the throne, looked busy today after it was recently announced that she is the new patron for the British Skin Foundation.

The royal looked the part yesterday, as she toured the research lab at the Centre For Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research, Blizard Institute in a white lab coat.

Princess Beatrice’s series of outings come after her sister Princess Eugenie revealed she is expecting her second child with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

The youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York, 32, shared her pregnancy news by posting an adorable snap on Instagram showing her one-year-old son August kissing her stomach.

She wrote: ‘We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer.’

Eugenie gave birth to her first son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, who is 13th-in-line to the throne, at London’s Portland Hospital in February 2021.

Posting a tribute on Instagram to her youngest daughter, Fergie wrote: ‘You will be sharing puddles, Augie! Superb news, Granny heaven…. So deeply grateful.’

Meanwhile Fergie also shared a snapshot of the little toddler playing in a puddle in the pouring rain.

In the picture, the one-year-old donned a bright yellow jacket as he played in the grounds of a country house.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: ‘Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer.

‘The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother.’

While it is not known where the photo of the princess and August was taken, it appears to have been captured in the past few weeks, with frost on the ground.

In the post, the mother-of-one beams down at her young son, who snuggled into her tummy enthusiastically. It is not currently known whether she is expecting a boy or a girl.
