Princess Diana is named in court documents relating to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein as his former handyman recalls meeting royal’s ‘secretary and her children’
- Disgraced businessman, who died on Saturday, was friends with Prince Andrew
- Now court documents say he met ‘Princess Diana’s secretary with her children’
- No suggestion he met Princess Diana and not clear whose children it refers to
- Suggestion he met Princes William and Harry was denied by ex-royal secretary
Princess Diana has been named in court papers relating to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The disgraced businessman, who died on Saturday aged 66 after apparently hanging himself in his cell at a top security New York jail, was friends with Prince Andrew for more than a decade.
Although there is no suggestion Diana saw Epstein herself, a former handyman has claimed in court documents that he met ‘Princess Diana’s secretary with her children’.

It is not clear who the secretary was, whether they were British, American, or another nationality, and whether the children were the secretary’s or Princes William and Harry.
The claim was made in testimony from Juan Alessi, a maintenance man at Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion.
It was among more than 2,000 pages of testimony relating to a defamation case filed by Virginia Giuffre, who has previously claimed to have had sex with Prince Andrew ‘three times’.
Discussing ‘celebrities’ he had met while working for Epstein, Mr Alessi mentions several names.
His full quote said: ‘I then listed Senator Mitchell, Prince Andrew, Princess Sarah Ferguson, Miss Yugoslavia, Miss Germany, Alan Dershowitz, Princess Diana’s secretary with her children, Mr Trump, Mr Robert Kennedy Jr, Frederik Fekkai, and a couple Noble prize winners as celebrities that I had seen while working for Mr Epstein.’
Mr Alessi did not give any more context about the nature of the meetings, and there is no suggestion any of the celebrities knew about Epstein’s illicit activities.
The suggestion that either Diana or Princes William and Harry could have met Epstein was denied by Diana’s former secretary, Patrick Jephson.

He told The Sun: ‘I can’t think of any occasion when Mr Epstein would have any claim to say he had given hospitality to the Princess of Wales.
‘To my knowledge Princess Diana only ever went to Florida once and that was to Disney World (in 1993).
Prince Andrew denies all claims against him.
MailOnline contacted Kensington Palace for its response. A spokesman for Prince Harry declined to comment.
