Princess Eugenie looks tense at charity boxing bout

Princess Eugenie looked understandably tense as she watched a lively charity boxing match which ended up with Nelson Mandela’s grandson going off in an ambulance.

The 27-year-old royal sported a stunning black sleeveless gown as she witnessed the blows raining down at The Charge II boxing fundraiser at Lindley Hall, London, last night.

Kweku Mandela put on a strong performance against U.S. environmentalist Ben Bronfman, but came out worse off when he had to leave the ring with an injured shoulder.

Eugenie added a touch of glamour to the proceedings that were in aid of the fight against African elephant and rhino poaching.

The Queen’s granddaughter attended the event to support the protection of wildlife alongside famous names like Trudie Styler, Zac Goldsmith, and cricketer Kevin Pietersen among others.

The star-studded event was hosted by The Charge II ambassador and boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Guests at the event, which was sponsored by London’s luxury restaurant Annabels, were treated to several boxing matches in a bid to raise funds.

The bout between Kweku Mandela and Ben Bronfman was undoubtedly one of the star events of the night.

The legendary politician’s grandson is a film producer with a series of titles under his belt, including Inescapable, Mandela’s Children and The Bang Bang Club.

He is also a keen campaigner and founded the non-profit organisation Africa Rising in 2009 to aid the development of the continent.

Twice world heavyweight champion Klitschko auctioned off several lots including the robe he wore to his last ever fight against Anthony Joshua.

Inside the robe is a mysterious USB stick which the boxer said contains his prediction of the outcome and only the winning bidder will find out.

Eugenie was all smiles as she left the event later in the evening, wrapping up against the cold chill in a black coat.

She tucked her hair behind her ears as she stepped out of the car, navigating the pavement in a pair of black stilettoes.

Eugenie, the second and youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, studied at Marlborough College, scooping three A’s and a B before studying at Newcastle university.

After graduating she worked in New York for the online auction house Paddle8 before moving back to the UK two years ago to join the Hauser & Wirth contemporary art gallery in London where she was promoted to director earlier this year.

She has repeatedly been forced to deny rumours an engagement is on the cards for her and nightclub boss Jack, who have been together for seven years.
