An independent bookshop in Swindon has gone viral after its quirky display of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare – event catching the attention of the Greek royals.
Bert’s Books’ displayed the memoir alongside UK-based author Bella Mackie’s novel How to Kill Your Family.
The display gained thousands of likes and numerous comments when it posted on social media, including from Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, whose late father-in-law is Prince William’s godfather.
On Tuesday, the 54-year-old royal shared a pictured on her Instagram story of the Duke of Sussex’s newly released book, in the Bert’s Books’ display.

Marie Chantal posted the picture without any text. But it certainly attracted a lot of attention, with many people subsequently re-sharing her story.
Crown princess Marie-Chantal is married to Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, whose father King Constantine II was one of Prince William’s godparents.
Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales is a godfather to Pavlos’ eldest son Prince Constantine Alexios.
Author of How To Kill Your Family, Bella Mackie has reveled in the attention and has enjoyed the cheeky display put on by the Swindon bookshop.

The 39-year-old, who is married to Radio 1’s Greg James, responded to the bookshop’s post saying: ‘Thank you to the 8,000 people who’ve sent me this today.
‘And thank you @bertsbooks, what an honour’, followed by a knife emoji.
How To Kill Your Family follows protagonist Grace Bernard, 28, who attempts to eliminate family members to exact revenge on her father for abandoning her and her mother when Grace was a baby.
Shop owner Alex Call, 35, told the BBC that his staff thought the display was ‘quite light-hearted and [would] make a few people smile.’
Bert’s Books’ thought it would be ‘light-hearted’ to display Spare with Mackie’s novel, which follows protagonist Grace Bernard, 28, attempt to eliminate her family members to exact revenge on her father
In the post – which coincided with the book’s release – the shop tweeted: ‘Anyway, we do have some spare copies of Spare if you want one’, alongside a photo of its window display which shows copies of Spare next to Bella Mackie’s book How to Kill Your Family.
It was later told that despite Spare dominating headlines for the past week, the shop didn’t expect it to be a bestseller for long.
While Bert’s Book’ had received only a small number of pre-orders, which they speculated was due to its ‘steep’ price of £28.

The Greek royals were close with Queen Elizabeth II and when she died Crown Prince Pavlos, who was her third cousin said she was ‘one of the most wonderful people ever.’
Speaking on the BBC, Prince Pavlos, 55, said the Queen, who was his third cousin twice removed, always supported his family and showed them great kindness.
He said: ‘The Queen has always been a very kind person to my famiy. Always received with a smile.
‘My parents were very well taken care of by her when we left Greece and lived in England for years after.’
Prince Pavlos added his father was a ‘confidant’ for the Queen throughout their years in the UK, after he was forced to flee the country with his family following a coup.
