Priti Patel has received a £17,000 payout despite being forced to quit as International Development Secretary over unauthorised meetings in Israel last summer.
At the time ministers are dismissed or resign, the Cabinet Office refuses to disclose if they are given pay-offs.
It still will not say if Boris Johnson received a payment when he quit as Foreign Secretary last month, or if David Davis did when he stood down as Brexit Secretary.
But details of the payment to Mrs Patel are in the Department for International Development’s annual accounts for 2017-18.

Under the subject line ‘Compensation for loss of office (audited)’ the document states: ‘The Rt Hon Priti Patel … received a severance payment of £16,876.’ Witham MP Mrs Patel was summoned back to London from Africa in November by Prime Minister Theresa May and sacked over private meetings with senior Israeli figures, including prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during an August holiday.
A Cabinet Office spokesman said ministers, including those who quit, have a right to severance pay.
