A celebrity chef has revealed that she spent more than $3,500 on groceries to restock her famous client’s pantry.
Brooke Baevsky, a private celebrity chef based in Los Angeles, California, left the internet stunned when she revealed that went shopping for her client at the luxury supermarket chain Erewhon Market – and her total bill came out to just over $3,500.
According to the cook, she purchased things like granola, organic juices, tomato paste, cashews, and canned beverages during the shop, as well as a slew of fruits and veggies like berries, Romanesco broccoli, dragon fruit, onions, rainbow carrots, sweet potatoes, purple artichokes, jackfruit, and avocados.

Brooke, who goes by Chef Bae on TikTok – where she has gained more than 175,000 followers for often sharing a glimpse into the life of a celebrity chef – opened up about the shockingly expensive food shop on the video streaming platform recently, and the clip quickly went viral, gaining more than 3.5 million views in matter of days.
‘How much did I just spend at Erewhon today for my client? $3,515.09,’ she said in the video, while showing off the total on the checkout screen.
In a follow-up TikTok, which was viewed 600,000 times, Brooke revealed all the things that she purchased for her client, which added up to more than three grand.

Many people were surprised – and furious – over the amount of money she spent on just one grocery bill, and they took to the comment section to share their thoughts, with some calling it a ‘waste’ of money and others wondering if it was a ‘joke.’
‘How lucky to be able to spend $3K on food alone while that $3K is for my rent, food, bills, and gas – and if we are lucky a little splurge,’ one disgruntled viewer wrote.
