‘It’s the only way to prove it… and I’m paid to do it’: Private investigator lifts the lid on his work getting ‘happy endings’ at massage parlours to bring down venues illegally providing sex
- An investigator said that 95 per cent of the time an illegal sexual act was offered
- He had done around 50 investigations where he was often offered sex services
- Two massage parlours in Sydney were fined for offering illegal sex last month
A private investigator has lifted the lid on his work getting ‘happy endings’ when hired by councils to prove massage parlous are illegally offering sex.
The undercover agent says he has been involved in 50 different investigations into parlours supplying illegal sex – and 95 per cent of the time an ‘extra’ was offered.
Earlier this month, owners of two Sydney massage parlours, Wynyard Massage and Sussex Star Massage were convicted for offering sex without the council’s consent and ordered to pay thousands of dollars in fines.

‘It’s a job, I have absolutely no emotional connection to it. I go in, I have an objective to meet, I’m being paid to do it,’ the man, who works for private eye firm Lyonswood Investigations and Forensic Group, told The Daily Telegraph.
He said that in most occasions he received ‘hand relief’ but he also engaged in sex on a few instances.
The investigator said it was important to walk in confidently, as if he received this kind of service regularly.
He claimed that they had to be 100 per cent certain the service was actually provided and not just offered, saying he usually climaxed during these encounters.
The agent said that despite signs outside massage parlours saying they did not perform sexual services, many would offer straight away.

‘They might have a sign saying ‘we don’t supply any sexual service’, then say ‘here you are, do you want a hand job?” he said.
The investigator remains unapologetic about his profession, saying the work was necessary to ensure places were doing the right thing.
‘It’s the only way that we’re able to show or demonstrate what’s going on in there,’ he said.
Wynyard Massage and Sussex Star Massage were both visited by undercover agents who were offered ‘extras’ which included nude body to body massages, ‘happy endings’ and sexual intercourse.
Two private investigators engaged by City of Sydney council received ‘hand relief’, leading to the owners of the massage parlours being prosecuted for providing sex without the council’s consent.
One investigator paid his masseuse an extra $50 when he received a ‘happy ending’ while another was offered sex for an extra $150.
The owner of Wynyard Massage, Suxian Luan, was found guilty in Downing Centre Local Court on July 12 of two counts of ‘carry out development without a development consent’ and fined $7,000.
The operator of Sussex Star Massage, Vincent Tran, was convicted on the same charge on July 11 and fined $20,000 and ordered to pay the council’s legal costs.
