Private school bus drivers cause traffic jam to talk to each other

  • Two private school bus drivers have created massive traffic jam in north Sydney
  • They stopped dozens of cars behind them so they could have a conversation
  • The buses are marked with logos of exclusive private Sydney schools

Two private school bus drivers have created a massive jam after they decided to stop in the middle of peak hour traffic and have a chat to each other.

Dashcam footage shows the two buses holding up dozens of vehicles on Mona Vale Road in north Sydney at 7am on March 9.

One of the buses is emblazoned with the Knox Grammar School logo, which is an exclusive North Shore private school.

The other bus carries the Ravenswood School for Girls logo, another private school north of the city.

Video footage shows the buses stopped next to each other, one with its door open as the drivers are apparently engaged in conversation.

They seem to be oblivious to the snaking line of halted cars behind them trying to make their way during morning rush hour.

It’s not until a driver of a motorcycle pulls in between the buses that they begin to speed up to a slow crawl.

The buses doors’ then close and the vehicles speed up, freeing the jam left in their wake.

Dozens of cars were held up by the bus drivers’ conversation.

After their chat the bus drivers decide to go their separate ways.

One pulls into a far lane, seemingly content with postponing the rest of their catch-up until they are both off the road.

A Ravenswood School for Girls spokeswoman said they don’t own the bus, and it was chartered through North Sydney Bus Charters.

North Sydney Bus Charters have been contacted for comment.
