Thriller series Citadel has been created by David Weil for Amazon Prime with the Russo brothers acting as executive producers.
In the series, Priyanka portrays Nadia Sinh, a spy with an affected memory who teams up with her former colleague Mason Kane (Richard Madden) to combat a global threat.
While Richard and Priyanka lead the cast, the series will also include spin-offs in different countries and languages, featuring entirely different casts.
The Italian series will star Matilda De Angelis in the leading role and is being co-produced by Amazon Studios and Cattleya.
The trailer for the upcoming British version of Citadel, slated for release on April 28, was released on Amazon Prime Video’s official YouTube channel last month.
The tense trailer began with Nadia encountering Mason, who asked her to ‘tell me you’ve never seen my face before’.
After the two were seen on a train together, Kane protected Sinh when an unknown assailant set off an explosive, after which he stated ‘I couldn’t remember anything except you’.
He then told Sinh, whose memory was apparently affected by the blast, ‘you were a spy like me’ and threw a knife at her before expressing that ‘I thought you were going to catch that’.
The pair were then ambushed by an assailant that Sinh’s character subdued with a blow to the head, after which she confirmed that she had indeed seen Kane in a dream.
Bernard Orlick, played by Stanley Tucci, told Sinh: ‘Who you were was a myth. Who you were is Citadel. A spy agency loyal to no nation. Eight years ago, we were double-crossed by one of our own. Now I need your help.’
Dahlia Archer, portrayed by Lesley Manville, subsequently remarked that her organization was ‘creating a new order’, adding: ‘It’s only a matter of time.’

After a montage of action shots was shown, during which Sinh pointed a gun at Kane, Orlick told her she needed to ‘remember the past to save the future’..
Sinh then asked another operative if they were ‘ready’ for duty, after which Kane attempted to escape from a pair of assailants by skiing down a mountain and jumping off a cliff.
The trailer concluded after Chopra’s character told Orlick that he had left her with ‘a few toys,’ to which he responded by stating that he had ‘built them for my favorite spy.’
Tucci’s character added that ‘he hated them and I didn’t want them to go to waste,’ and Sinh then referred to him as an ‘a******’.
