The Duke of Sussex revealed son Archie is ‘getting so big’ when speaking to a schoolgirl at a royal engagement. 

Proud father Prince Harry, 35, told the girl that his four-month-old son is ‘really well’ and ‘getting so big’ when she asked ‘how everything is going with Archie’ during a rugby event at Lealands High School in Luton last Thursday.  

The candid comment offers a rare insight into the progress of four-month-old Archie, who will soon join his parents on his first royal tour when the Sussexes depart for 10 days in Africa next week.

It shows how the schoolgirl seized her chance to ask Harry a question and shouted above the heads of her classmates as they gathered around the royal.

‘So sweet of the kid who asked about Archie,’ one posted in the comments section.

The father-of-one, who is Patron of the Rugby Football Union, looked in high spirits during the sporty engagement last week.

He was on hand to promote the Rugby Football Union (RFU) All Schools programme, which was launched to increase the number of secondary state schools playing rugby union.

Passionate rugby fan Harry visited Lealands High School in Luton to mark it becoming the 750th to join the programme – and said the group is now focused on adding even more. 

He watched about 60 students from five local schools take part in touch rugby games and skills sessions before speaking to some of them and their teachers.
