A man has died after getting into a brawl with bouncers at a pub.
Police were called to the Kealba Hotel in Melbourne’s St Albans about 2.50am after the 24-year-old from Mill Park was involved in an altercation with the venue’s security guards.
Officers desperately tried to revive the man who became ‘unresponsive’.
‘Police arrived and commenced CPR but the man died at the scene,’ Victoria police said.
Homicide Squad detectives are now investigating and will await the results of a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.

Among the lines of inquiry are whether the man’s death could have been caused by a medical episode.
It is not yet known what caused the early morning fight.
A witness told 9News the man had been refused entry to the bar earlier that night and had been ‘acting erratically and banging on the doors’.
Detectives cordoned off the Sunshine Ave venue on Sunday as forensic specialists combed the scene for evidence.

As of Sunday night, no charges have been laid as the investigation continues.
The bar was reopened on Sunday night.
