Puppy topples his cage, opens paint tin and leaves a trail of white paw prints in kitchen

A dog owner was horrified to come home and find his puppy had lived up to his name ‘Hulk’ by smashing open a paint tin, redecorating his kitchen – and even pooping on his cooker.

Owner John Pennington, 35, has no idea how his 10-week-old puppy managed to topple his cage, climb on to the counters and even open the paint tin on his windowsill.

The mischievous American bulldog puppy left a trail of white pawprints covering every surface in John’s kitchen before taking a nap in his cage and leaving paint there too.

John, who owns a pet taxi business, returned from work last week to discover his kitchen in chaos with ‘The Incredi-bull Hulk’ guiltily whining in the corner, wagging his tail and flashing his puppy dog eyes.

Speaking in the footage, John says: ‘Right, I’ve just got home and this is what I’ve walked in to. I have no idea how I’m even going to fix this.’

He then unveils his kitchen covered in white paw prints across the floor, counters, sideboard and windows.

Poor John reckons the naughty dog knew he would be in trouble for the mess and decided to go to the bathroom on the cooker ‘for another laugh’.

John, from St Helens, Merseyside, said: ‘I was shocked. I was really annoyed but at the same time it’s really funny. I was just thinking ‘oh my god’.

‘I was more awestruck. I just laughed. I couldn’t be angry. I was just thinking ‘oh my god, has he really done this?’

‘I don’t even know how he’s done it. The crate was locked but he’s managed to get out of it.

‘The paint was closed. He must have knocked it off and opened it with his teeth or something.

‘Not in a million years would I have thought all those things could have happened.’

Luckily the little pup was fine and after several baths in tea tree oil and gentle shampoos, John was able to wash the paint away from Hulk’s fur.

However it took seven hours of scrubbing his kitchen with turpentine to wash the cheeky dog’s paw prints from the room.
