A woman shared her terrifying experience on an eight-hour Qantas flight, where her family became sick after discovering vomit left on their seats by a previous passenger.
Keira Keegan boarded the plane bound for Singapore from Sydney on Saturday night with her family, only to be horrified by the state of their seats, which were covered in sickness from a prior passenger.
‘Our seats were wet and splattered in vomit from a passenger who was ill on a previous flight,’ Ms Keegan said.
‘The carpet was saturated wet with an overpowering odour of vomit.
Despite the disgusting condition of their seats, the family was told by the Qantas crew that there was little they could do to assist.
‘The crew could not clean the vomit due to the biohazard risk,’ Ms Keegan said.
‘The crew members jump seat was also wet and covered in vomit.’
Despite the ‘biohazard’ risk, the plane was cleared for the flight and the family faced sitting in the filthy seat for eight hours or waiting for another flight.

‘The plane was completely unfit for service, the cabin manager reported this situation,’ Ms Keegan said.
‘The condition of the cabin compromised the safety of your passengers and your crew.
‘This plane should not have been cleared to fly.’
Ms Keegan claimed Qantas has been slow in replying to her complaints.

The family spent eight hours sitting with the biohazard and have since suffered gastro symptoms
‘We have not been contacted,’ she said on Monday.
‘My family have now come down with symptoms of gastro. Eight hours of sitting on seats, wet and splattered with another passengers vomit is unsanitary and unacceptable.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Qantas for comment.

In a message to Qantas, Ms Keegan said: ‘The condition of the cabin compromised the safety of your passengers and your crew’
