Queensland Origin star Cameron Munster is renowned for his sense of humour – and the five-eighth’s latest target was his own player manager Braith Anasta.

Munster, 30, appeared on NRL 360 on Monday from the Maroons camp where it emerged Anasta had to express post his client’s boots and mouthguard after they were recently left in Sydney.

The veteran of 18 Origin appearances dating back to 2017 was at his self-deprecating best, declaring he can be a ‘speedbump’ in defence before talk turned to Munster being reportedly spotted with notorious player agent Isaac Moses.

After praising veteran scribe Phil ‘Buzz’ Rothfield for his question, Munster then displayed his cheeky side on live television.

‘That’s probably why I was catching up with him at the café,’ Munster continued.

‘I need a little bit more money and third parties and unfortunately my old manager Braith Anasta didn’t do enough for me.

‘He’s too busy looking pretty and putting himself in the Daily Mail every week.’

Anasta was left red-faced with the NRL 360 panel all in stitches as Munster playfully referenced Anasta’s love life, which often features in this publication.

The premiership winner with the Bulldogs has two daughters, Aleeia and her half-sister Gigi, with Anasta often posting family celebrations on social media.

Anasta shares Aleeia with his ex-wife, one-time Home and Away star Jodi Gordon and Gigi with his ex-partner Rachael Lee.

In June last year, a source confirmed to Daily Mail Australia the former NRL star had quietly split from mum-of-two Evie Tziomakis.

Meanwhile, Daly Cherry-Evans is elated Munster was available for Queensland selection after he was ruled out of the 2024 series with hip and groin issues.

‘It’s really good to have him back,’ the Maroons captain said.

‘There are a lot of boys in this camp that are really happy to see Cameron….but we (also) have to put up with him leading up to it, which is sometimes punishing.

‘But it’s all worth it when he plays like he plays.’
