Racegoers at Cheltenham Festival have already showed off an array of daring ensembles so far this week – and today was no different as revellers arrived at the popular horse racing event.

One reveller opted for a bold yellow crop top as she arrived at the Gloucestershire racecourse today, while another even showed off a lacy bra under her sheer top.

Spectators failed to let the rain dampen their spirits as they opted for a variety of colourful ensembles for the third day of the popular event.

Today is St Patrick’s Thursday at Cheltenham Festival, adding an Irish twist to proceedings ahead of St Patrick’s Day on Saturday.

Plenty of pints of Guinness will be downed at the Guinness Village, with racegoers also treated to a variety of entertainment around the course throughout the day.

Carol Vorderman was among the first of the celebrities to arrive this morning, dressed in a chic fur-trimmed navy coat and matching hat.

Yesterday’s Ladies Day at Cheltenham saw an array of colourful ensembles – including some rather daring looks.

Racegoers were encouraged to ‘dress up in all your finery’ to be in with a chance of winning the coveted Best Dressed Lady prize.

While events such as Ascot have a strict dress code, there’s no formal guidelines for Cheltenham – meaning racegoers can express their creativity, as well as allowing for more racy looks.

There have been several royal visits to Cheltenham already this week, with the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne and Zara and Mike Tindall all seen gracing the racecourse.

Cheltenham is always popular with celebrities and sports stars, with Dom Joly, Jeremy Kyle, Phil Tufnell and Georgia Toffolo putting in an appearance so far.

Security was tight at the racecourse, which has been patrolled by armed police since 2016.

However, Gloucester Police has urged racegoers not to be alarmed by the sight of armed officers, insisting that they’re present as a precaution to reassure the public.

Organisers this year are making a concerted efforts to clamp down on ticket touts and have been repeating messages over the tannoys, warning that people caught selling on tickets will be ejected from the site.
