Rachel Stevens has shared her thoughts on her upcoming stint on Dancing On Ice and admitted she is ‘terrified.’

The S Club 7 star, 43, who is paired up with professional Brendyn Hatfield, told Hello! Magazine about the new series: ‘It’s such a great team of people and I love my partner, so it’s all super-exciting but terrifying at the same time. Totally terrifying!’

The star is hoping to take the top spot on the show, after coming second on Strictly Come Dancing.

Eeek! Rachel Stevens, 43, has shared her thoughts on her upcoming stint on Dancing On Ice and admitted she is ‘terrified’

She revealed that the only time she has spent on an ice rink is with her children, where she was ‘wobbling around’ with them.

She went on: ‘I’ve danced and performed for years but doing it on ice means starting something totally from scratch.’

‘But I can’t wait to just go for it and have fun – and I’m loving working with Brendyn. He’s just adorable and such a brilliant teacher.’

Rachel was forced to defend herself after she was accused of having an advantage because of her performing background.

She previously told The Sun: ‘They said the same thing when I did Strictly. I’m not a trained dancer so going into that was totally out of my comfort zone and a different way of performing.’

A new batch of celebrities, including Love Island favourite Liberty Poole and Happy Mondays star Bez, will make their debut next week.

Rugby star Ben Foden, professional dancer Brendan Cole and The Vamps’ Connor Ball will also compete.

Rachel demonstrated her impressive moves while rehearsing for the ITV show last year.

The singer threw herself into training with professional dance partner Brendyn, who uploaded a clip of their progress ahead of the series.

The mother-of-two took to the ice to practice her ‘spins’, with partner Brendyn laughing in a social media video as he joked that Rachel needed to work on her ‘edges’ instead.

Jokes aside, taking to Twitter her professional partner announced:

‘Beyond thrilled with her skating ability and her excitement to learn even more. I literally can’t wait to start creating our future routines together!’
